The BCBS-103 Biological Safety Cabinet Class I is a containment cabinet primarily designed to provide user and environmental protection when working with low to moderate-risk biological materials. Unlike Class II cabinets, a Class I cabinet does not protect the product (sample) within the cabinet from contamination but focuses instead on shielding the user and environment. This type of cabinet is commonly used in laboratories for handling procedures that generate aerosols or involve harmful agents at Biosafety Level 1 or 2.
